First, the mold parting surface cleaning. Cleaning is cumbersome and easily overlooked. If you buy a good mold, cleaning will be much easier. If the quality of the mold is poor, or there are flashes or dirt on the parting surface produced during the production process, the operator should carry a small spatula and always clean these places. If flash evaporation is not removed in time, the parting surface of the mold is prone to collapse, causing aluminum to flow out during the production process. Once this happens, the possibility of a complete repair is low, even with the best mold repairers. The outflow of aluminum will not only increase the cost of die casting and aluminum scrap, but also make the product quality unstable, especially the internal quality. In addition, aluminum outflow will increase the difficulty of determining process parameters and reduce the qualification rate. For safety issues, the rate of work-related injuries will increase. When shifting gears, the operator should thoroughly clean the parting surface of the mold with kerosene. This can not only prevent the mold from being crushed, but also open the air exhaust duct blocked by mold release residue or other dirt, which is conducive to exhausting the air in the mold cavity during the injection phase to improve the quality. Second, when each team takes over the shift, they should carefully check the points and solve the problems in time when they are found, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble for themselves.
Third, the use of mold cooling system. When customizing molds, some companies even give up cooling water to save costs, or it will lead to very serious consequences. The mold material is generally made of special mold steel through various processes. Even the best mold steels have usage restrictions such as temperature. If the mold temperature is too high during use, cracks may appear on the surface of the mold core prematurely. Some molds have many cracks even if they are not used more than 2000 times. Due to the high mold temperature, some cores will change color during the production process. 度。 The measured temperature exceeded 400 degrees. At this temperature, the mold is prone to cracks when it is cooled by the release agent. And the finished product is easily deformed, tightened and sticky. If cooling water is used, the use of release agents can be greatly reduced. In this way, the operator will not use a release agent to reduce the temperature of the mold. Its advantages are effectively extending the life of the mold, saving die-casting cycles and improving product quality, reducing sticky molds and sticky strain, and the use of sticky aluminum and release agents. It can also reduce the loss of ejector pins and cores caused by excessive mold temperature.
Fourth, the mold must be preheated before production to prevent the cold mold from suddenly hitting the molten iron and causing cracks. Complex molds can use torches or liquefied gas or mold temperature controllers if affordable. Simple molds can be preheated using slow shot peening.
5. If the mold is equipped with neutron flux measurement, then the signal line between the die casting machine and the mold must not be connected. It is difficult to avoid water on the signal line, and the connection is easy to break, causing a short circuit in the machine. If the signal is wrong, the light will result in an automatic shutdown alarm, and the serious consequence is that the signal is chaotic and will cause mold damage. Therefore, the running switch should avoid water.
